Hello ABC Members,
As you can see from this update, our conferences combine learning with excellent networking and cultural experiences.
ABC SW, Dallas
Highlights included a "Night at the Museum" for jazz music and displays of vintage furniture and artwork. Our opening dinner honored Roger Conaway and Jose Torres for best paper, and Gerry Hynes for the Outstanding Educator Award, among others. We also enjoyed many excellent presentations focusing on issues in the MBA and BBA classroom.

ABC SE, Birmingham
Your Executive Committee met for a day of planning. The next day, attendees had an amazing tour of the Southern Living Magazine home offices and learned ways the staff analyzes and communicates with their audience. We toured the test kitchens and saw several photo shoots in progress. At the beautiful Ross Bridge resort, we enjoyed a Scottish bag piper each evening. On the last day of break-out sessions, we met in one of the suites for an amazing "Favorite Assignment" swap. Altogether, it was a great bonding, learning, and sharing experience.

ABC Asia-Pacific, Tokyo
On the lovely campus of Chuo University, Tama, near Tokyo, we experienced a tea ceremony after a day of excellent research presentations focusing on cross-cultural business communication issues. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and we became experts in using the train system.
